What new features you'll find is this version:
- A new letter texture has been added. Besides shadow and reflection, you have the amazing relief effect. Just like creating a kind of 3D letters.
You will find 3 buttons in the texture window for the 3 effects: shadow, relief and reflection.
- More background choice: besides the customized backgrounds in the full page, you can create your own colored backgrounds with the color palette.
- For a better user experience, the grid function for the full page is moved from the "settings window" to the "backgrounds window". Just tap on a grid model to activate it, and tap on the "X
grid button" to cancel any grid.

ADD TEXTURES: now you can add textures on your letters. How it operates: only in the full page, after drawing your letters, words and
ornements, tap on the texture button (on the right of the toolbar) then just choose one of the 36 customized textures and watch the terrific effect.
You can also import one of your pictures (stored in the photo gallery) as a texture. With this function you can create endless quantity of textures.
NEW PEN: we have added a « swirl pen » for drawing flourishes. The stroke size will vary according to the angles and the speed of execution. 3 effects for this new pen: normal, gradient and fluorescent. Another great specificity of this pen is the curve smoothness. It's really improve your strokes.

Since its release on May 25th, 2011, Calligraphy Art for iPad has 2 huge updates:
The first update comes with the version 1.1 bringing more Western highly decorative hands, with more curves and writing movements. The update also provides 2 very interesting pen effects for the creativity:

Flourished style with Calligraphy Art
What's new in Calligraphy Art version 1.3
This version of Calligraphy Art expands an essential feature for calligraphers: pen angles.
Until version 1.2 we have provided 14 right handed pen angles, which are mainly used for Western calligraphy. Other languages (such as Arabic or Sanskrit) need more left handed pen angles. These left handed angles are also useful when you place the letters along a curve or a circle.
In version 1.3 the user will find 9 extra left handed pen angles, which work exactly like the right handed angles.
